Covenant House Greater Washington To Partner With The TBL To Provide Youth Experiencing Homelessness With Opportunities For Professional Exposure Through Their 2021 Virtual Black Tv & Film Conference

The TBL is the First Black SXSW-Styled Conference to Create Tangible Employment Pipeline for Black Creative Talent in All Aspects of the TV & Film industry in 2021
 
Washington, DC – Covenant House Greater Washington is excited to announce a partnership with Blaze Unlimited, an innovative creative music agency that specializes in Sync Licensing and music supervision. The partnership will provide youth ages 18 to 23 an opportunity to attend The TBL (Table), a virtual TV & film conference with an exposure track to Black creatives and executives in the entertainment industry. The inaugural The TBL (TV & FILM CONFERENCE) will be held virtually in July 2021. Participants through Covenant House will be provided with a code to waive the $50 application fee. Covenant House Greater Washington’s Cliff Rogers, Director of Programs, will be coordinating the partnership with Blaze Unlimited.
 
This opportunity will allow youth at Covenant House Greater Washington opportunities to explore careers in acting, screenwriting, directing, producing, wardrobe & custom design, director of photography, editors, Music Synchronization, marketing & PR, and business operations. Participants will be separated by areas of interest and will participate in virtual breakout sessions for immersive learning. All will be interviewed and matched to select internships, mentorships, and jobs in TV & Film during the conference.
 
The conference, modeled after the popular SXSW, is a welcome solution to the nation's entertainment industry as it seeks new ways to find and attract diverse talent. The event will feature Masterclasses, Keynote Speakers, and Networking Mixers. In addition to Covenant House Greater Washington, Blaze Unlimited will be partnering with LIQUID SOUL, Allied Protection Services, 247 Artist, Inc. and the BRIC Foundation have joined as initial partners.
