Washington, DC – Regional Executives and Community Leaders join Covenant House Greater Washington (CHGW) to Sleep Out on the street (Thursday, November 15, 2018) for one night so that homeless youth don’t have to. The Sleep Out movement is Covenant House’s signature fundraising event that brings leaders together across the entire country and Canada to raise essential funding that supports the work of Covenant House.
Sleep Out Executive Edition in Washington has a goal of raising $200,000 to support housing, workforce readiness, and educational programming offered to Opportunity Youth (18-24) experiencing homelessness, disconnection, and/or exploitation at CHGW.
This year, on Friday, November 16, Sleep Out America will take place across the country where nearly 5,000 people representing every State in the United States will participate by creating their own Sleep Out and unite with their communities and Sleep Out, while joining the conversation through digital, social media, and the SleepOutAmerica.org interactive platform.
